The Water's Edge

You found me today
When I least expexted it
A stranger in an unknown world
Wearing masks and playing make believe

The room was filled with happiness
A Holy union had been created
Dancing, laughter and stolen kisses
It was all too much
I had to get away

Making my way along the soggy path
My eyes immediately filled with tears
No, not yet!  Where can I go?
I then spotted the lake

Nearing the water's edge
I discovered the gaggle of geese and the playground
You also gave me a song, "All I Need is You, Lord"

What a sight I must have been!
All dolled up; crying, singing, praying and swinging
I just needed a moment to get away
No more pretending
