Amazing Grace

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me.
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

When we've been here ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we've first begun.

Thanks for your comments. I agree. When I read your blog I thought, "She sounds like a kindred spirit!" I'm glad we can encourage one another as Hebrews 10:24-25 talks about. I hope we do get a chance to meet. Have a good day!

This is my favorite hymn. Always has been, always will be. I love the old hyms. Also love, "This Is My Father's World." The church bells near my house play it almost every morning.

Hey Stacey, I see we are neighbors, I live in Helena too! Cue theme music, "It's a small world after all." :) Ahh, Kindred Spirits, I love when God brings those types of friendships across my path. As if to say, "I think you could use a friend to gets you in 'this' area."

Studio,

Thanks for your comment. I love "Amazing Grace" as well. When I was rocking my nephew to sleep last Friday night, I began to sing this song to him. Thankfully, it was getting dark out, as I immediately began to cry. Not out of sadness, mind you, but out of sheer love that our Savior would "save a wrech like me".
